John’s Monday Tip of the Week: Fan Club Fun

Good evening, find

I was really excited the other day to hear that so many of you all are hosting big events on the night of the Salem-sponsored GOP debate. After I sent you all an e-mail asking what your station was planning for the big night, ambulance I was thrilled to hear that some of you are having debate watches.

That’s a really awesome thing! I only wish I could come to all of the parties.

I do know that a lot of our valuable listeners will be there though, store which leads us to Monday’s Tip of the Week.

I know there’s a lot of planning that goes into station events and a lot of preparation so it’s easy to forget unnecessary elements here and there.

However, one thing that you should remember is to bring a sign up sheet to all of your events (whether they be live broadcasts, listener events or debate watches). Whenever a listener gets to the door, ask them if they want to sign up for your station’s Fan Club.

As you know, being a member of Fan Club often comes up with great promotions, events and prizes AND through out newsletters, members of Fan Club are often the first to know about upcoming events.

Even if you only get a few sign-ups at each event, that’s a few more sign-ups than you had before and every listener counts.

Once you have a database of new listeners from these events, you can send them to Vanessa from Triton or I and we would be happy to help you upload them.

I know KRLA has done a great job in sending me sign-up lists after many of their events but it’s something that you all should think about.

This has been John’s Monday Tip of the Week!

Have an awesome week, my friends!

Best,

John
