John’s Monday Tip of the Week: Ch-ch-ch changes to your weekday schedule

Good evening, remedy

It’s been an exciting first few months of 2016 and April is quickly approaching with major changes to our line-ups coming up in just a few weeks. In April– as you most likely already know– Bill Bennett will be stepping away from the daily microphone (he’ll still be hosting weekly specials for us). Hugh Hewitt will be moving to Bennett’s morning spot and Larry Elder, our new nationally-syndicated host, will be taking over Hewitt’s afternoon spot.

That’s a lot of changes and that brings us to John’s Monday Tip of the Week.

?
The new schedule will be beginning on Monday, April 4th, which is only two weeks away but there’s a lot to do before then.

Because these are big major changes, I would recommend getting prepared for them as soon as possible. Listeners who turn in on April 4th will be shocked if they weren’t aware of the changes earlier so I would recommend a full-court press to get the word out about your line-up changes.

Now is the best time to start asking yourself what new images, graphics and schedule changes you need now and on April 4th.

If you want a new rotator to promote Elder’s show or Hewitt’s time change, please let us know asap and I’ll have the designer work on that for you. If you want a pop up ad letting users know about the schedule changes, let us know as well. If you want to make sure you have the right information for Elder’s position on your schedule, let us know that too.

The sooner you let us know what promotional materials and ads you need, the sooner you will have it.

Also, in preparation for the new launch, please make sure you start tweeting and posting Facebook updates about the changes later this week and throughout next week.

It might even be good if you posted a lot of updates on April 4th, just making sure that the listeners know about the new schedule (it’s best if they hear about the changes beforehand BUT make sure to continually update your social media accounts that day to make sure).

It’s never too early to get started on promoting these big changes to the line-up and we’re here to help you do that in any way we can.

This has been John’s Monday Tip of the Week.

Have a great week, y’all!

Best,

John
